Where firearms can and cannot be used in the Township
Summarizing Ordinance No. 25 (which is attached)
Firearms use is only allowed in the LA3 (Living Area 3 - Agricultural) areas of the Township. This area is described as follows: This area is colored White on the linked map.
West of the first mile of Himango Road.
North of Harney Road between the Himgano and Church Roads.
East of Church Road with the EXCEPTION of an area from Sorila Road to Erickson Road.
East of Larson Road to I-35
West of Hillside Road
South of I-35
In those areas where firearm use is allowed, you must maintain a distance of 500 feet from any building occupied by a human being or by livestock and only when the line of fire of said individual is directed away from said buildings occupied by human beings or livestock.
Trespass for the purpose of taking wild animals is prohibited. You must have permission from the landowner.
